Cheeses or similar products (5) are continuously conveyed (1) to a packing machine which has a number of packing heads (3) rotating about an axis (9). Each packing head includes a packing mechanism (10) which operates as the head follows a circular course. The packaging material (6) which is sent (2) to the machine is selected according to the weight of the product from spools mounted within the machine. The packaging mechanism (10) consists of gripping (14), folding (12) and product placing units (13) and is driven by rollers (17,23,29) on ramps (18,30,41).
