The machine has a pneumatic motor(1) which rotates a tool spindle(3) supported by a carriage which is longitudinally displaced. Detectors measure the speed of rotation of the spindle(3), the couple and pressure on it and the displacement of the carriage. The carriage(7) supporting the spindle(3) is mounted on a screw driven by a low voltage electric motor(5) controlled by a removable electronic card(21) carried by the machine. The card contains a machining programme controlling the machines parameters. The motor(5) is connected to a second electronic card(18) mounted on the machine which controls the advance of the spindle(3) as a function of its rotational speed. <IMAGE> |
