The appts. to equalise the fabric weight distribution, of single- or multi-layered feltings to be formed with a bonding agent into wood chip or fibre boards, has at least one back-brushing roller (8) with flexible bristles (18) of an hydrophobic material, and height adjustment over at least part of the material width. A cleaning roller (17), rotating in the opposite direction with flexible bristles, or a cleaning bar, works with the back brushing roller (8). The brushed-out material is collected and returned to the material feed scattering station.
