<p>A method for obtaining purified protease activity from a mixture of aminopeptidase and protease enzymes, comprises the steps of: treatment of the mixture with a protease inhibitor that selectively inhibits and irreversibly binds the aminopeptidase; and separation and recovery of the protease from the bound aminopeptidase. By this method, purified vibriolysin has an activity of at least 100 U/mg with respect to the substrate Furylacryloyl-Glycine-Leucine amide.</p> |
