A device providing high receiving capacities for hand-held or mobile stations using low-orbiting moving satellites. The device uses one or more geostationary satellites transmitting a broadband to users of hand-held or mobile stations. Only the data path bound for the hand-held or mobile stations uses the geostationary satellite(s), while the data transmitted by said hand-held or mobile stations uses the low-orbiting moving satellites. Said device enables multimedia applications in hand-held or mobile stations.
