In colour photographic material with blue-, green- and red-sensitive Ag halide (AgX) emulsion layer(s) contg. yellow, magenta and cyan couplers respectively and usual light-insensitive layers. At least one layer contains a phenol or its ether or ester of formula (I) as stabiliser and a (meth)acrylic copolymer of formula (II), which is insol. in water at pH 5 and soluble at pH 11 and has an acid no. of 30-300 and Tg of at most 40 deg C. R1 = H, alkyl, aryl or acyl; R2 = -OR1, -COOH, alkyl, aryl, dialkylamino, acylamino, sulphonamido, acyl or sulphonyl; R3-6 = H, halogen or as R2; or 2 adjacent -OR1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 gps. = a gp. completing a 5-8-membered ring; R7 = H, 1-4C alkyl or CH2-COOH; R8 = alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; a = 80-95 mole-%; b = 5-20 mole-%.
