Turning machine for lightweight folding plastic crates with ribbed construction

The turning machine has a central axis of rotation (7) and radial arms (8), each of which has a crate holding arrangement (10) at its end. The arrangement is used to dry folding plastics crates for fruit and vegetables. The rotation of the crates is carried out in steps, and where crates whose sides can be folded onto the base are to be dried, the side facing the turning machine is folded onto the base of the crate as the turning machine picks up the crate. The lifting device (9) has a device (10,11) for folding the leading side of the crate as the crate is picked up. Conveyors (5,5') arranged perpendicularly to the rotation axis of the turner deliver the crates to and remove them from the turner. The conveyors may have transport frames attached to them from which the crates are suspended.
