The invention concerns a circuit arrangement for producing a stereo TV signal with two audio carrier processes for use in video recorders, satellite receivers, satellite remote end heads and the like. The two audio channels (audio R, audio L) and a video-synchronisation signal derived from the video signal are fed into a stereo coder (1) which on that basis generates a stereo low-frequency signal (<L+>2<R>) for the first audio channel (3) and a second stereo low-frequency signal (R) and a pilot signal for the second audio channel (4); the pilot signal consists of a pilot carrier whose amplitude is modulated with a characteristic frequency and which is added by a first summation circuit (5) to the stereo low-frequency signal (R) in the second audio channel (4). The proposed circuit arrangement also has a modulator (9) with a video and audio input. An FM modulator (6) is provided in the second audio channel (4) and is used for modulating the signal in the second audio channel (4) (the sum of the stereo low-frequency signal (R) and the pilot signal) onto an audio carrier (intermediate carrier). The output of the FM modulator (6) is connected to the input of a second summation circuit (7).
