Shock absorber test appts. for increasing vehicle comfort

The test appts. has at least one drive unit (3) for a wheel locating surface (2) which can be set to vibrate. The device also has electronic units to detect vibrational movement of the sprung vehicle. The wheel locating surface is coupled to a drive unit (3) which enables a vibration frequency of around 100 hz. The drive unit is in adjustable connection with the vibration frequency so that the device can be used to provide reproducible representation of noise on the basis of vibrating vehicle parts. For the drive unit for the measurement, the shock absorber is preferably identical to the drive unit for representing the noise. A separately controllable drive unit may be used for each wheel of an axis.
