Automatic gas ignition system

The automatic ignition unit contains a magnetic circuit consisting of hard and soft magnetic material in a loop with an air-gap in which is positioned a Hall generator, connected to an analysing circuit. A wire coil surrounds the hard magnetic portion and is connected to a control circuit. The gas control valve and spark igniter are controlled electronically. The main switch unit (16) of the automatic ignition system (23) contains a switch (21) which is controlled by the output signal from the Hall generator analysis unit (20). The sensor (6) is positioned in the air-gap (5) in the soft-iron loop (3), of which one side (2) is of highly conductive magnetic material, surrounded by a coil (4), connected to a control circuit (19). A high voltage spark igniter (11) enables the gas burner (8) to be ignited and flame protection is provided by electrode (12) and control (18).
