A texturing device for producing textured threads by means of a stuffer process has a transport channel (10) with a transport medium input at its upper end and a retaining chamber that follows the transport channel (10), as well as a cooling drum (T) that follows the transport channel (10) and a thread-tension measurement device (FSS) arranged between the cooling drum (T) and a winding device (SP). The transport medium (M) is put under a predetermined pressure by means of a first regulating circuit with a first PI-regulator and set at a predetermined temperature by means of a second regulating circuit with a second PI-regulator, so that it is brought to the state required for texturing. The slug is retained in the retaining chamber by retaining air (S) regulated by a third regulating circuit with a pressure regulator (DR). A manometer (3) measures the retaining pressure in the transport channel (10) and supplies a signal to a comparison unit (V) that takes safety measures, for example lighting a signalling lamp (4) or actuating scissors (8). In the disclosed example, the object of the invention is to measure a measurable value that corresponds to the crimp quality of the thread, for example the thread tension, by means of a thread-tension measurement device (FSS). Based on such measurements, steps are taken, for example modifying the temperature of the transport medium, until the thread tension reaches a set value (WF) that is supplied to a third PI-regulator that modifies the set value (PS) of the first PI-regulator until the thread tension reaches the set value (WF). |
