<p>A video game controller (10) for use with an exercise apparatus (32). The controller includes a gross motion sensor (40) which is activated by the palm of the user's hand when the user's wrist is rotated. In this way, a 'steering' input can be sensed by the controller (10) and forwarded to the video game. The controller (10) further includes a pair of 'action' switches (36, 38) which may be conveniently activated by the user's fingers. The controller (10) may be formed as an integral part of the exercise apparatus handle (32) or as a separate member designed for convenient attachment to the handle (32) in a retrofit application.</p> |
