A laundry drier comprises a laundry drum (1) which is rotatable about a horizontal axis and which has in an end wall (4) thereof an air inlet opening from a stationary drying air duct (7), the mouth of which is surrounded by an annular seal (9). The seal comprises a resilient lip (15), which in a relieved state is approximately radially oriented as seen in cross-section and a sealing portion (19) of which has an axial degree of freedom (12) for compensating for production tolerances. The sealing portion is provided with a textile-like lining at its substantially radially oriented surface bearing against the drum end wall (4).
