Device to reduce inhalation exposure to heavy metal vapours, esp. mercury vapour and germs or similar, for patients and dental personnel has an aspirator (6) arranged by the dental chair (1) or similar, with at least one leading edge pipeline whose free end can enter the bell shaped aerosol distributor around the patient's open mouth. There is an outlet pipe (12) leading to atmos., and heavy metal (10) and germ filters (11) are arranged in line between the aspirator and the outlet line (12). There is a condensed water catching pan (15) at the aspirator.
