The invention concerns a device for agglomerating liquid or solid particles carried in a multi-phase stream. The device is provided with at least two rows of rods onto which the stream flows at an angle, in particular at right angles, to the rods' longitudinal axes; the rods in a given row are opposite the gaps in an adjacent row. This arrangement ensures that the stream follows a particularly meandering path through the device which thus has especially good agglomerating properties.
