Exhaust gas filter removes particles and condensable components from diesel engine exhaust gases, esp. in engines with exhaust gas recycle. The gas enters the inlet channel (2) of the filter casing (3) and leaves, cleaned, via the outlet (4). On the way, it passes through metallic filters (10), which are arranged on heat exchanger tubes (7). The filters and heat exchangers are placed in series. Flow- (5) and return lines (6) carry heat exchange fluid through the casing and heat exchanger tubes, which are surrounded by the metallic filters.
