The board allows magnetic metal tools to be held and comprises a support panel (4). On the support panel is a strip (2) of ferro-magnetic material having distinct magnetic zones (1) and of alternate poles, North and South respectively. One of the faces (20) of the magnetic zones may be fixed mechanically or by sticking on the ferro-magnetic strip. The opposite faces (21) of the zones may be disposed in face-to-face contact with the object to be held.
