Fixing sabot for structure beams onto wall courses

The structural beam fixing shoe comprises two parallel drilled vertical sheet metal plates (2) welded to a horizontal bed plate which is fixed on the top of the building external walls. The base plate has a central part passing under the principal beam (4), and two lateral drilled webs (10) which extend it either side the beam. The separation between the vertical plates allows the principal beam and the principal rafter (5) to slide between them and their fixing by screwing or bolting through the holes. A parallelepiped elastomer wedge (8) is located between the vertical plates under the end of the principal beam so as to increase the height (H) of the beam shoulder by raising it. The wedge has the same thickness as the principal beam and the principal rafter and is fixed in the same way by the holes in the plates.
