<p>A gearbox control device including a gear selector lever (3) and a gear change lever (4) operated from a gear lever (5). The device includes a gear lever freely rotatably mounted about a single axis (6) so that it can move back and forth on either side of a neutral position, and converter means (11) connected to the gear lever on the input side via an input connecting rod (9), and to the gear selector and gear change levers on the output side via a selector connecting rod (14) and a gear change connecting rod (15) respectively, so that the back-and-forth motion of the gear lever can be converted into motion of the gear selector and gear change levers, whereby back-and-forth motion of the gear lever on one side of the neutral position causes a change to a higher gear, while back-and-forth motion of the gear lever on the other side of the neutral position causes a change to a lower gear.</p> |
