Pull-lever support element for IC engine valve gear

The support (1) is fitted in a cylinder head (5) bore (4) forming an angle w.r.t. the vertical. It comprises a hydraulic play compensator, consisting of a hollow cylindrical housing (2) in the bore with an axial piston (6). The crown (7) of the piston encloses a high pressure chamber (9), together with the housing. On a piston head piece (12) is located the directly abutting pull-lever. A groove (14) for the hydraulic fluid extends into the bore and/or in the housing outer jacket (3), linked to a central storage chamber in the piston. The outer jacket has at least one flat portion (19), coacting with a complementary one (20) of the housing plane.
