A toothed screw drive gear (15) is located within the gearing (8) of the screw driver and is placed over the screw or connector to be acted upon so that the central axis of the screw and the axis of the drive gear are coaxially located. The drive gear is located in a circular bearing (17). Jaws (26) are fixed to the drive gear and rotate with it. The jaws can be exchanged for ones of different sizes if required and are held in tension by a spring (30). Drive shafts (10,30) power the device which is operated by a switch and a secondary button (39) for safety.
