Purificn. of trifluorotrichloroethane (I), esp. removal of hydrocarbons from (I) purified by distn., uses a bed of zeolitic material (II) with a pore size of 0.5 nm, which has been dehydrated for 5-24 hrs. at 250-750 deg C.
