A power bus bar for bus bar systems which can be affixed to fastening areas by means of holders and to which connecting devices such as adapters, safety devices, switches, clamps, etc. can be attached. For very high currents, power bus bars with additional attachment facilities for holders and connecting devices are created by providing the power bus bars with an essentially n-angled cross-section, where n is >/= 3, and by making longitudinally aligned recesses on the outside for the attachment of holders and connecting devices.
