Composite plate, esp. kitchen work top

The top plate (2) made of natural stone is more than 1 centimetre thick. The support plate (3), of wood, is less than 3 centimetres thick. Between them is a fibre reinforced layer (4) containing adhesive. Altogether, the composite plate is from 2 to 6 cm thick. Parallel with the front and head sides of the support plate on the front and head sides are oblong strips of natural stone with an edge ratio of a maximum of 1 to 3 and pref. stuck to the natural stone top plate. A fibre reinforced adhesive layer on the front side of the support plate faces the head side of the composite plate (1).
