<p>Bearing element (1) for fastening a painting or the like to a wall. This bearing element (1) is provided with a fastening part (4) to be fastened to the stretcher pieces of such a painting or the like. That fastening part (4) is adjoined by a support (12) provided with a receiving opening (7) for a fastening means which is fitted in the wall. This receiving opening (7) comprises two parts, a first part (8) in which the fastening means can be freely fitted and a second part (9) in which the fastening means is only displaceable.
