A mechanically commutated electric motor is proposed, the brush holder (8) of which is constructed on a carrier board (9) used as an electronic printed-circuit board. The carrier board (9) has a recess (11) with two delimiting limbs (12, 13), which are provided with opposing holes (14, 15) for receiving two brushes (16, 17). The opposing edges of the holes (14, 15) take the form of guide rails (18a, b) which engage into corresponding guide slots (19a, b) of the brushes (16, 17). The guide rails (18a, b) are provided with an electrically conductive coating (24), in particular printed conductors (10), which is used for electrical contacting of the brushes (16, 17) inserted into the holes (14, 15). The brush springs may be integrally formed with the circuit board. |
