<p>The invention concerns an anchoring device for use in blind fixing applications. In a preferred embodiment, the device comprises an elongate member (1), and a collar (2) for pivotal engagement with the elongate member (1). The anchoring device may be utilised with standard equipment such as threaded bolts etc., and is configurable in either a closed configuration, in which the elongate member (1) lies substantially parallel with the bolt or like member (3) and an open configuration in which the bolt (3) engages with an internally threaded aperture (6) of the elongate member (1). Passage of the device from the closed configuration to the open configuration may be brought about automatically by providing the collar (2) with an outwardly extending tab of material (15) which, in the closed configuration, bears against the elongate member (1) so as to urge it towards the open configuration. <IMAGE></p> |
