Cap for gas bottle

The cap comprises a lower section (2) designed to fit onto the gas cylinder (3), and an upper section (1) with an inner space (19) which protects the gas distribution valve (4). The lower section (2) of the cap has a downward-pointing projection (8) which is open at the bottom and designed to engage with the cylinder, and at outer surface which allows the cylinder to be laid on a flat surface. The upper section of the cap has vertical ribs (23A) at the sides which are connected by a cross-piece (22) which acts as a handle. Both sections of the cap can be made from a thermoplastic material such as a polypropylene/polyethylene copolymer with appropriate mechanical strength and elasticity.
