Control device suitable for pointing and moving of an object on a screen

An actuating disc (5) is screwed with a spacer to a circular key sliding on the square top cover of a frame (1). It is centred by four flexible blades (F1-F4) with distance pieces (8). A set of four strain gauges (G1-G4) bears upon the disc at two opposed pairs of points on perpendicular axes. As the disc moves in any direction within its plane, the forces exerted on the strain gauges are measured by a processing circuit which works out a command accordingly.
