PURPOSE: To provide a dynamic pressure air bearing rotated smoothly by preventing the infiltration of the dust affecting the rotation into the dynamic pressure generating groove of the dynamic pressure air bearing from the outside. CONSTITUTION: This dynamic pressure air bearing is provided with a fixed section 34, a rotor 22 rotated adjacently to the fixed section 34, and a dynamic pressure generating groove 35A provided on the rotor 22 and/or the fixed section 34 and generating dynamic pressure. Air is engulfed by the rotation of the rotor 22, a gap is generated between the rotor 22 and the fixed section 34, and the dynamic pressure air bearing has a bearing function in the noncontact state. The maximum gap between the rotor 22 and the fixed section 34 at an air intake port is set smaller than the depth of the dynamic pressure generating groove 35A. |
