PURPOSE: To obtain a water-absorbing porous sheet excellent in water absorption and dynamic characteristics and little in the generation of a malodor. CONSTITUTION: The water-absorbing porous sheet wherein an adsorbent is adhered to a porous substrate. The water-absorbing porous sheet has continuous pores penetrated from one surface of the water-absorbing porous sheet to the other surface, a porosity of 40-90%, a water-absorbing degree of >=40%, a water drop-absorbing degree of <=3sec, a flexural strength of >=30kg/cm<2> , and the adhesion amount of the adsorbent in a value of 2.5×10<6> (m<2> /m<3> ) as the product of the specific surface area (g/m<3> ) of the adsorbent with the adhesion amount (g/m<3> ). |
