PURPOSE: To prevent dispersion of ions, salts, or the like accompanying expiration mainly in a clean room and the like by containing a powdery macromolecular absorbent in an inner for a mask. CONSTITUTION: In an inner 3, contact cloth 4, a polyester wadding 5, a hot melt sheet 6, urethane foam 7, and outside cloth 8 are layered in this order from the side touching a mouth. Usually, cotton cloth comfortable to skin is used as the contact cloth 4. Water permeable urethane foam, in other word, a material which is excellent in water absorbing property and can be sunk underwater when it absorbs water to a certain extent is used as the urethane foam 7. A proper amount of a powdery macromolecular absorbent (polymer) is scattered on the urethane foam 7 and/or the polyester wadding 5. The inner 3 is applied on the inside of a mask main body 1 in use.
