PURPOSE: To keep displayed pictures clean for an extended period for a belt- driven device for variably displaying pictures by attaching a cleaning means to the rear of a container box containing two or more picture units driven by rotary belts, with a wiper capable of being impregnated with a detergent supplied from the outside of the box. CONSTITUTION: A device M for variably displaying pictures for a pachinko machine is provided with 3 picture units U, which are placed in a row in a container box 43 attached to the back side of the unit M. Each picture unit U has a motor-containing rotation driving mechanism 17 and an endless belt 28 carrying mark type pictures and running between bodies of rotation in the rotation driving mechanism 17. In the width direction of a back frame 47 for the container box 43, a frame trough 82 is projected out of the back frame 47 in the longitudinal direction. Three cleaning ports 83 are formed in the frame trough 82, each matching width of the belt 28 of each row. A wiper 84 impregnated with a detergent is put into the cleaning port 83 in such a way that its front end comes into contact with, and slides over, the outer surface of the picture-carrying belt 28 to clean it while the belt 28 is rotating. |
