PURPOSE: To obtain a paper product such as a water-resistant corrugated board, Water-resistant carton, water-resistant paper, etc., having antimicrobial properties by mixing the paper product with chitosan and a water-proof ing agent. CONSTITUTION: A pulp slurry is mixed with a fixed amount of chitosan in a beating process or a sizing process in papermaking and made into paper and the paper is impregnated with a fluorine-based water-proofing agent. Or, a paper base made into paper is impregnated with a mixed solution of chitosan and the fluorine-based water-proofing agent and heat-treated to give the objective paper product usable at least as an inner wall of a food container, having antimicrobial properties and waterproofness. |
