PURPOSE: To provide a watering method similar to a natural environment for the healthy growth of a potted plant, and to provide a device therefor. CONSTITUTION: Two or more through holes are bored in the lid of a watering container. Both the ends of a string-like water-absorbing member are introduced into the through holes of the lid, and immersed in the water for watering in the watering container. A sheet is loaded on the upper surface of the string-like water-absorbing member, and a potted plant is further loaded on the sheet and subsequently cultured. Each of the through holes bored in the lid is holes somewhat larger than the width of the water-absorbing member, but the water-adsorbing member may directly be immersed in the watering container without boring the through holes. This method is advantageous for the production of crops in the farmhouse. A cheese cloth, cloth, paper, peat moth, etc., may be utilized as the sheet loaded on the water-adsorbing member. Since the method can provide an environment similar to the natural one, the method has an effect to facilitate the growth of the roots of a plant. Thereby, the method is extremely effective for the healthy growth of the potted plant. Since the method is easily performed at a low cost, the application fields are wide, and the method can widely applied not only to the culture of various plants in farmhouses but also to the displays of flowers in flower shops, etc. The watering device is also suitable as a device for culturing a potted plant at home. |
