PURPOSE: To obtain a packing cushioning material that can be surely and separatably fitted to a case body without using an adhesive and can be easily separated and obtain a packing case with the cushioning material. CONSTITUTION: A packing case is composed of a case body 1 having an opening upward and a rectangular bottom surface and a cushioning material 3 disposed in each end part of the case body 1 for holding each end part of an item to be packed. In the case body 1, open parts 19, 21 are respectively provided in two erected side wall surface parts 7, 9 opposed to each other. The cushioning material 3 is provided with two side outer wall surfaces 23, 25 disposed parallel to each other to conformably face inner surfaces of the erected side wall surface parts 7, 9 of the case body 1, respectively, and an end outer wall surface 31 conformably facing an inner surface of an erected end wall surface part 11 of the case body 1 connecting the erected side wall surface parts 7, 9 to each other.
