PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL OF BARRIER SPACE DISCHARGE-TYPE

PURPOSE: A plasma display panel of a barrier space discharge-type has a high brightness, by forming a hexagonal protruding upper barrier rib. CONSTITUTION: An upper plate electrode structure of AC-PDP installs a discharge electrode being mounted to a front glass substrate of AC-PDP to a barrier space of a lower plate as a projection structure. An electrode is deposited in the barrier space as a projection barrier(3). The projection electrode is formed by fabricating a thick metal plate. A plasma is formed by a discharge between electrode surfaces. A plasma is formed by a vertical-type discharge between the projection electrode and the transparent electrode. A dielectric layer(9) is deposited on the exposed electrode surface. The electrode deposited on the hexagonal protruding barrier(3) surface is connected to a connection electrode of a lower part. Thereby, the plasma display panel of a barrier space discharge-type has a high brightness and does not require additional technique.
