METHOD FOR REDESIGNATING ACCESS OF VIRTUAL PATH IN LAYER STRUCTURED ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for redesignating an access of a virtual path is to rapidly perceive a generated trouble at a portion via the predesignated virtual path and allow a detour path of the generated trouble section to be again designated. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: setting an access of an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) virtual path in a layer structured ATM telecommunication network; perceiving the access of the virtual path that is influenced by the trouble; selecting a substitutional path for the perceived virtual path in which the trouble is generated; and again connecting the network to the substitutional path. The substitutional path is again designated by a local network manager that manages a shape of the local network of the trouble generated section when the trouble is generated at a section. When the local network manager does not select the substitutional path, the local network manager requests that a path be again designated.
