CATALYST FOR CONVERSION OF PARAFFIN AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst advancing the dehydrogenation and isomerization of a paraffin raw material at the same time to produce an isoparaffin and an isoolefin. CONSTITUTION: A conversion catalyst of a paraffin performing the dehydrogenation and isomerization of the paraffin at the same time to produce an isoparaffin and an isoolefin is composed of a mordenite zeolite catalyst containing platinum and a reaction accelerator. The reaction accelerator is composed of either one of group IIB, IVA, VIB elements or a mixture of them. An Si/Al ratio of the mordenite zeolite catalyst is pref. about 5:1-50:1.
