PURPOSE: To obtain a skin cosmetic having light burden to skin and excellent massaging effect in rubbing into skin, high moisture retention effect and excellent handleability, comprising salt as a main component, by using both hyaluronic acid or its salt and a supernatant liquid of culture of lactic acid bacteria. CONSTITUTION: This skin cosmetic is obtained by combining salt with hyaluronic acid or its salt and a supernatant liquid of culture of lactic acid bacteria. More excellent moisture retention effect and a feeling in use are obtained by using powdered salt having 10-1,000μm, especially 50-500μm average particle diameter as the salt. For example, hyaluronic acid or its salt derived from an animal such as one extracted from a crest of a chicken or a product by a microorganism may be used as the hyaluronic acid or its salt. The hyaluronic acid or its salt having 400,000 to 3,000,000 molecular weight is preferably used. The amount of the hyaluronic acid or its salt added is 0.001-5%, especially 0.001-3% based on the salt. The amount of the supernatant liquid of lactic acid bacteria is 0.01-20%, especially 0.01-10% based on the salt. The skin cosmetic is usable with ease without damaging skin by action of hyaluronic acid. The skin cosmetic will not drop from a hand in rubbing it into skin.
