<p>PURPOSE: To provide a controller for a shape, by which the shape of a strip metal can be gradually approached to a target value just after when the shape of the strip metal (strip) being rolled differs much from the target value, and at the time of a normal rolling, it can be approached most closely to an optimum shape. CONSTITUTION: By detecting a shape featured valueΛL by a shape featured value detector 10 according to a shape detecting valueε(j) detected by a shape detector 7 on the outlet side of a rolling mill 6, control signals are outputted to respective actuators 4a to 4e from a shape featured value controller 5 by a feedback loop so that the deviation between a detected shape featured valueΛL and a tar<jet shape featured valueΛL* to be set by a target shape featured value setting instrument 11 according to a target shapeεε(i) *, becomes zero. And, the control signals are corrected by outputting a shape featured value correction quantityΔΛLCOR optimized by the shape featured value optimizing calculator 14 of an optimizing loop different from this loop so that a prescribed evaluation standard is satisfied by an evaluation function consisting of a deviation between a target shapeε(j) * and a shape detecting valueε(i) .</p> |
