PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the work of assembling a passenger-side airbag module reaction canister and to reduce cost of assembling the reaction canister. SOLUTION: Impact-driven darts 30 are used to attach end plates 24, 26 to the trough-shaped main body 12 of a passenger-side airbag module reaction canister 10. The darts 30 are made of material harder than the material forming the main body 12 and include surface irregularities. The surface irregularities deform the material forming the main body 12 and improve frictional engagement.
