PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the portable communication equipment of a design according to user's liking by freely attaching and detaching a portable communication equipment body and an assembly so as to change the design of the portable communication equipment with ease and at a low cost. SOLUTION: A folding type portable telephone set is formed of a set body 10 with a set body side fitting part 60 and an opening/closing lid assembly 70 with a fitting part on the opening/closing lid 50 to be fitted to a fitting part on the set body 60 and a hinge base part 40 mounting an opening/closing lid 30 with a hinge 20. Then, the assembly 70 with the part 50 of the part 40 mounting the lid 30 with the hinge 20 is easily connected with the set body 10. Consequently, by replacing the assembly 70, the design of the folding-type portable telephone set can be changed comparatively easily.
