PURPOSE: To attain sufficient stabilization of a Q-H characteristic by providing a blade angle adjusting mechanism giving at least two kinds of blade angles at least partly in a part of a blade angle variable range relating to a plurality of the blades, in a variable blade pump having an impeller provided with a plurality of the blades with a blade angle variable. CONSTITUTION: A movable blade mixed flow pump 100 has a rod 5 displaceable in an axial direction arranged in a hollow pump drive shaft. The pump has a hub 1A formed with an external surface partly as a ball to be fixed to the pump drive shaft and an impeller 1 provided rotatably in this hub 1A to have blades 1a to 1c with a blade angle variable. By displacing the rod 5 in the axial direction, the blade angle is changed through a ball joint 6a and an arm 7a. Here by setting lengths m1a to m1c of the ball joints 6a to 6c to m1b >m1a > m1c and lengths m2a to m2c of the arms 7a to 7c to m2a =m2b =m2c , a blade angleϕa toϕc of each blade obtains a relation whereϕb >ϕa >ϕc .
