PURPOSE: To prepare a fused plain weave sheet having air permeability, water absorbing properties and heat sealability by laminating a mixed fiber layer comprising water absorbing fibers and core-sheath conjugated fibers onto at least one surface of a fiber layer comprising the conjugated fibers and thermally fusing the resultant laminate. CONSTITUTION: This fused nonwoven sheet is obtained by laminating a mixed fiber layer comprising 20-80% water absorbing fibers such as rayon and 80-20% core-sheath conjugated fibers prepared by arranging polyethylene terephthalate having 260 deg.C melting point in a core part and a polyolefin-based polymer such as polyethylene having 110 deg.C melting point in a sheath part to at least one surface of a fiber layer comprising the conjugated fibers and then fusing and integrating the resultant laminate with a hot belt type laminator. |
