FOOD PACKAGE TO BE COOKED IN MICROWAVE OVEN AND PACKAGING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: To obtain a novel food package to be cooked in a microwave oven having superior quality retaining properties by a deoxidant, not producing a problem at all even if it is set in a microwave oven as it is and irradiated with microwave, having superior safety and sanitation properties and ease of production, and not imparting a feel of a foreign matter to a deoxidant enclosed therein though it exists in a deoxidant in the prior art. CONSTITUTION: In a food package to be cooked in a microwave oven and a packaging method thereof, food is sealed in a gas barrier container 2 together with a sheet-form deoxidant 1 formed by kneading an iron-based deoxidant composition with a thermoplastic resin and forming the mixture into a sheet.
