PURPOSE: To increase the processing speed of image data to large extent by simultaneously performing two image processings, that is, density correction processing and false gradation processing using a density correction screen to calculate output image data. CONSTITUTION: False gradation processing is applied to all of the pixels of image data to form output image data. It is judged whether inputted data is a screen (step S81) and, when the inputted data is judged to be the screen, it is judged whether density correction data is registered (step S87). When the data is judged to be registered, reverse density correction data is formed (step S84) and a density correction screen is formed (step S85). When the density correction data is judged to be registered in the step S87, the screen is registered (step S88). |
