PURPOSE: To provide an awakening holding device for preventing dozing by arranging a comfortable working environment without any incongruity sense. CONSTITUTION: An awakening holding device is provided with sound sources 31, 35, 36 for generating sound for stimulating senses of a person and a control device 33 which continuously generates sound and controls a sound source so as to change sound characteristics at a fixed or a random interval less than a half cycle of an awakening rhythm of a person.
