<p>PURPOSE: To provide a steering device in which balls istalled between an upper and a lower steering column can elastically deform the two columns stably even though a steering lock device is associately installed on the steering device. CONSTITUTION: Balls 25 are fitted by pressure and held between an upper 22 and a lower steering column 23 which enclose a steering shaft 21, and a steering lock device 26 is installed on the upper steering column 22 and a notch 31 is provided capable of being detained removably with a hole 30 in the steering shaft 21 as protruding into the upper steering column 22. Balls 25 are not provided in the notch 31 protruding part and the position mating regularly with it, but are provided symmetrically about the axes of columns 22, 23 in appropriate positions of the other parts.</p> |
