PURPOSE: To obtain a bush for a suspension arm whose durability is favorable even when the spring constant of a rubber elastic body is low. CONSTITUTION: In the bush for a suspension arm consisting of an inner cylinder installed onto the suspension arm, a cylindrical rubber elastic body 2 fixed on the outer periphery of the inner cylinder and an outer cylinder pressed in the outer periphery of the rubber elastic body 2 and installed onto the other part of a car body, scooped grooves 24 extending in an axial direction are provided on at least four places of the outer peripheral surface of the rubber elastic body 2. Thereby, as a spring constant KR in a right angle direction for an axis can be lowered, its durability becomes favorable, since the rubber elastic body 2 can be formed by using a rubber material with a higher rubber hardness HS. As the inner strain of the rubber elastic body 2 is absorbed and unformized in a peripheral direction by the scooped grooves 24 when the outer cylinder is pressed in the outer periphery of the rubber elastic body 2, the durability of the rubber elastic body 2 is improved. |
